Get ready for a mid-week meltdown
Hump day has found peak release at The Brat Cave Woolloongabba with Wurst Behaviour, an interactive comedy event. Running every Wednesday from 7pm - 830pm, four comedians are brought on stage to entertain with traditional stand-up and then complete a series of challenges. Prizes are awarded to the audience as they grow courageous enough to contribute.
Past acts included Brisbane comedy legend Michael Connell, Ashwin Segkar and Michelle Azevedo. Each week the audience comes up with a topic (past offers have been "Coachella" and "renting") which the comics use to compose spoken word/ rap poetry. After a vote the winning two versus each other in a verbal deathmatch. Finally, the victor is challenged by a member of the audience to a round of '5 Second Rule' and the champion receives beer and glory.
The event is in its early days but is sure to grow as word spreads. The intimate, cosy venue makes it perfect to enjoy the show and shelter behind the more gregarious audience members. An overall attitude of friendly chaos makes it a joyful way to spend a Wednesday night.
