Here are a few tips:

Before beginning to write greeting card verse, go to the greeting card section of a store and get the feel of some of the cards. When writing greeting card verse, ask yourself if you would like to receive such a card for yourself. Then, read the verse out loud to yourself. Next, read the verse to a family member or a friend. What do they think?
