Natalie Sprite is an award-winning writer and a passionate teacher of fiction. Natalie was shortlisted for the 2002 Australian Vogel Literary Award for her novel Grace Notes. Her short fiction has been published in anthologies and literary magazines. She is the recipient of a number of prizes, awards and fellowships, including the NT Literary Award, the ABC Open fiction prize and a 2016 Asialink fellowship in Indonesia.
Writing From The Body
In this two day workshop, she will use yogic, meditation and literary exercises as the tools that make for potent and muscular writing. Using this meditation method and literary exercises, you can spend an afternoon with Natalie Sprite on Saturday 23rd September and Sunday 24th September 2017 from 10 am up to 3pm at Darwin Sailing Club, 8 Atkins Drive Fanny Bay Darwin NT.
Spread over two days, the workshop will cover everything, starting from creating work that has authenticity and power, character and plot and how they intersect, writing dialogue that reveals the core of your characters and moves the story along, point of view and tense, structure and plot up to writing as ritual.
