Do you think you could be the next J K Rowling,
Today's trivia question. What are the names of these two characters from children's literature?

Winnie The Pooh, from A A Milne's children's book of the same name, has captured the hearts and imagination of children and adults alike since the book's publication in 1926. This "bear with very little brain" was often having adventures with his mate, Piglet.

What about this one? Have you seen this little fellow before?

If you have an inclination to write the next bestseller in the children's literature category, or perhaps merely want to write a story for your grandchildren, I have got just the workshop for you.

Children's author, Dimity Powell, will be addressing Pathways to Publication at the Robina Library, 196 Robina Town Centre Road, Gold Coast on Thursday, 26th May.

Dimity is the author of PS: Who Stole Santa's Mail? and reviews new publications in the children's book genre. She will be discussing the lurks and perks of writing for kids. She will also share the magic and madness that is writing for a living.

After Dimity's talk, when you are feeling creative and inspired by the author's enthusiasm, fine tune your own writing in the workshop that follows.

Attendees must register online here for this FREE event, which commences at 10 am and finishes at noon.
