Everyone has a story to tell
Do you have a book inside you or a fascinating life story to tell? Feeling a little bit stumped when it comes to working out how to start?

Based in Ringwood, local writer Rebecca Bowyer is hosting a series of face-to-face memoir writing workshops starting July 11, 2016 where you can get some helpful hints, plenty of inspiration and meet other writers on the same journey.

The memoir workshop runs over 8 hours, (usually held in 2 hour sessions over 4 weeks) and is designed to help kick-start your writing journey by teaching you helpful techniques, writing structure and editing practices as well as using images to help tell your story.

Attendees will discover how using online platform Bookform can assist them in creating their memoir by collating information, editing and even publishing it online to share with friends or family.

Held at Ringwood Community Centre in Bedford Park, the workshops will run over 4 consecutive Monday's from 6:30-8:30pm beginning on Monday, July 11.

The memoir writing workshop costs $99 per 8-hour workshop. Additional monthly/annual Bookform membership also applies.

Further workshops will be scheduled throughout the year. To register for this workshop or stay up to date with future workshops, click here.

There seems to be a growing interest in family history. Workshops. Like this are a great idea. Too often when people is on the family stories are gone with them.
