WOW is the word, and the word is Way Out West Festival to wow the young ones from 24-30 Sep 2022. That's the school holidays sorted. Delivering a wide range of arts, cultural events and activities suitable for children, young people, families, and people of all abilities, WOW is taking over Casula Powerhouse at 1 Powerhouse Road, Casula public spaces to create a fully immersive and engaging experience.

From mind boggling magic shows, musical adventures, educational workshops, breakdancing championship and fascinating interactive installations, this year's WOW Festival is jam packed entertainment and celebration! Then match your experience with a tonne of free stuff available all day every day! Some of the free things are ticketed too, so have a look through and check if you need to pre-book.

Enjoy some of the familiar favourites like Dr Hubbles Bubbles and Splash Test Dummies, or check out something new. There's something to suit everyone. Tickets for the Splash Test Dummies especially are selling out fast. You can learn some amazing circus tricks with them, including hula hooping, poi spinning, ball juggling and acro balance. No prior experience necessary. There are some crazy good workshops as well. if you ever wondered how filmmakers create out of this world movie sets; wonder no more. There's a workshop that'll teach you the basics of photography and green screen - the same technology used to create sets and visual effects. Believe it or not this event is free, and you can sign up on the day.

Get your dancing shoes on as there's lots of singing and dancing to be done at some of the events. Whether you dance along to Lah Lah's Big Live Band, get your sillies out and boogie to The Beanies, or groove uncontrollably to Bunny Racket and his gang of fluffy punk rock friends; you'll be moving that body to the music. Some of the magic that's going to wow you is the shadow puppet theatre world of Indonesian artist Jumaadi. A brand new show has been created just for WOW Festival. Who doesn't love magic?! Mr Mada himself will be performing a hilarious interactive magic show, plus he'll be running a magic workshop for an hour of tricks and tomfoolery you can wow your friends and family with.
