There is lunch, and then there is Lunch with a capital L. Now you have an opportunity to be part of this special Lunch with a capital L at SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, which is hosting the Regional World's Longest Lunch as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (27 February to 15 March 2015). This special event will be held on Friday, 13 March 2015 at 12pm to 4pm.



The menu is stunning, and promises to make you feel like royalty. Seated on a long table, being served lunch prepared by great chefs, using the best local produce, sipping on drinks from local vineyards, with a backdrop of Melbourne City skyline on one side and towering native trees on the other, all makes for a heavenly experience. Feeling on "top of the world" has never been better.

Starters:

Green asparagus, Menton citrus yoghurt sauce and chickweed%%

Sesame crusted ocean trout on choy sum with cucumber and micro herbs in a Thai chilli and mirin vinaigrette

Eye fillet, glazed shallots and sweet potato lattice%%

Desserts:

Caramel cooked cream and popcorn crumble%%

A selection of cheese, dried and fresh fruit with house made lavosh.

(Lunch menu can change at the discretion of the chef; however I would not be worried about the change because it can only be an improvement to the already delightful menu as stated above)

The scenic drive to SkyHigh, taking in the views, smelling the forests, hearing the bird calls, it is all part of the experience.
