Gumeracha - if you have never been then you have missed out and you must go. Just the drive up there is very enjoyable, so many things going on in the bush away from everyday city life.

Once you reach the famous Rocking Horse you soon realise that there is much more to see than just another one of Australia's 'Giant' icons. Also located within this pristine natural setting is a wildlife sanctuary and toy factory.

After marvelling at the huge four-legged equine structure, you can move on to the wildlife sanctury that will provide hours of entertainment. Filled with an assortment of native Australian flora and fauna, a camera is a must.

On our last trip there we were heckled by a cheeky cockatoo who even thought it was appropriate to answer our shocked replies. It was very funny not to mention that it provided an entertaining subject matter on the drive home.

Feed is also available to buy for a few dollars and being able to hand feed some of the native wildlife is a fantastic experience for both children and adults.

There is also a toy factory where you can spend hours among the toy wooden trains, jigsaws and dollhouses to name just a few of the products produced on site.

All in all it's a great day out for everyone and I would suggest bringing a picnic lunch.
