On Saturday the 19th of May 2018, The World's Biggest Car Boot Sale will take place at Newcastle Entertainment Centre.

The event takes place twice a year, in May and October, and is a fundraising event for Hunter Life Education, an independent organisation that reaches over 30,000 children in Newcastle and the Hunter Region every year.

This is a great opportunity to declutter and make some extra cash, or grab some second-hand bargains while helping a fantastic organisation (and the environment) at the same time.

The event opens at 8am and finishes at 2pm, and this year will include:
A huge number of stalls with new and second-hand items
Food stalls
Free presentations on how to lead a reduced-waste lifestyle
Appearances by Healthy Harold and Big Dog

Stallholders:
If you're keen to sell some of your stuff, bookings can be made online. This year, there are around 300 sites available, with prices starting at $40. The prices for 2018 are as follows:

Outdoor Standard Stall - $40
Outdoor Corner Stall - $45
Outdoor Car Boot Stall - $55
Indoor Standard Stall - $60
Indoor Corner Stall - $70
Add Power to Stall - $20

Food vendors are also able to book sites, however, sites are limited and are by application only.

Volunteers:
Volunteers are always welcome (and very much appreciated), so if you'd like to lend a hand, fill out the online volunteer application form here. Please note that all volunteers will need to have a Working With Children Check, or be willing to apply for one.

Getting There:
Newcastle Entertainment Centre is accessible by bus and train. If you're travelling by car, paid parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible parking available. Please visit the venue website for further information.
