The Australian Dance Theatre and Tom Buchanan's Worldhood at Her Majesty's Theatre
Drawing and dance in collaboration? Not since Gene Kelly was an American In Paris has this been done but expect something more cutting edge, collaborative and less contrived in Worldhood at Her Majesty's Theatre.
The novel idea of Worldhood is to build from a few outlines to a distinct form to an explosion of energy that provokes contemplation on imagination, perception and the ever changing notion of existence. You have a man with a charcoal creating and a troop of dancers responding to the conditions through movement.
Worldhood has brilliant local creativity and the up and coming from of the Adelaide College of Art alongside one of Australia's most international renowned dance companies- all under the direction of choreographer Garry Stewart.
