Environmentally friendly celebration for the whole family

World Wetlands Day, celebrated each year on February 2nd, marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar Convention) in Ramsar, Iran, in 1971.

February 2nd 2013 marks the the forty-second anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands.

Landcare Queensland, together with the Port of Brisbane and Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) would like to invite you to celebrate World Wetlands Day with a free sausage sizzle, a beachside clean-up and a planting at the beautiful Whyte Island at the Port of Brisbane.

This is a family event and everyone is encourage to attend.
