The all new World Tennis Challenge returns to Memorial Drive in Adelaide in January for three nights of all-star entertainment as a prelude to the Australian Open. Current player and 2014 US Open winner Marin Cilic will be joined by Marcos Baghdatis and some of the greatest legends to ever grace the court. However, unlike most other challenges, this event has a distinct theme of fun and frivolity mixed with the competitiveness that oozes from these past and present tennis champions.

The highlight for 2015 will be the return of Adelaide's favourite son, Lleyton Hewitt, to play at Memorial Drive for possibly the last time on Wednesday 14th January. Lleyton will play a special one off exhibition match versus the world number 7 Tomas Berdych in what will undoubtedly be an event not to be missed.

Wednesday night also sees the return of John McEnroe to Adelaide. A crowd favourite, and perhaps an umpire's worst fear, McEnroe is sure to entertain with his mix of firebrand temper and tennis. McEnroe plays Michael Chang in singles with McEnroe looking to improve on his 4:1 record against Chang. Later in the evening, McEnroe returns for a doubles game against Chang and Marcos Baghdatis.

Starting the challenge on Tuesday 13th January will be Baghdatis versus the younger and more aggressive Marin Cilic, followed by Chang versus the old master Goran Ivanisevic. After a round of singles each, Baghdatis and Chang join forces to take on the Master and the Apprentice in a doubles match that is sure to be a lot of fun.

And the Master and the Apprentice combination of Marin Cilic and Goran Ivanisevic return on Thursday 15th January playing doubles up against McEnroe. Earlier on Thursday night, the singles games sees McEnroe take on Ivanisevic where McEnroe will be looking to close the head to head gap against Ivanisevic who currently holds a 4:2 win ratio.

Wednesday 14th January also sees a special luncheon with John McEnroe as the guest speaker. The 2015 luncheon will be held at Adelaide Oval's William Magarey Room with commanding views over the River Torrens, Adelaide's CBD and of course Memorial Drive complex. Each ticket includes a two course, five star food and wine experience and the opportunity to mingle with the sport's biggest stars, past and present. Including beverages, door prizes, special guests and the famous live auction. Part proceeds from this luncheon go to supporting the Ken McGregor Foundation and the sport of tennis in South Australia.

And kicking the week off on Sunday 11th January is the World Tennis Challenge Kids Tennis Day, presented by Nickelodeon. Children aged 12 and under receive FREE entry to the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre between 9am and 11am, and get to enjoy plenty of fun activities and giveaways. Kids can also play like a star on the mini courts, test your tennis skills in the Kids Zone and meet your favourite Nickelodeon characters off the court.

Further details about the challenge are available from the World Tennis Challenge website or the WTC facebook page .

The World Tennis Challenge are delighted to announce that HeartKids of South Australia Inc. are the official charity partner of the 2015 event with net proceeds going to the Charity.

HeartKids are dedicated to providing support, encouragement and hope to families of children with Heart Disease, while raising awareness and vital funding into the causes of this chronic disease.
