Hello, I'm new to travel writing but hope to share my adventures and travels both local and far reaching through my articles and photos. My website and blog are on their way, so will update asap.
Do you love our clean waterways?
Thrills Espresso at Currumundi Lake are under new management and are helping do their bit for World Ocean Day on 9th June, 2018.
If you are passionate about taking care of our waterways and oceans (and of course, we all should be), then visit Thrills Espresso at Currumundi on the Saturday 9th June between 1.00-3.00pm with your family, friends, co-workers or anyone who you can drag along to this great beach and lake clean up.
World Ocean Day at Currumundi Lake
Besides making our waterways cleaner, there are some great reasons to be involved:
There will be 2 for 1 Tim Adams coffees all day for all participants.
Maleny Dairies will be donating farm tour vouchers to the people who collect the most rubbish from the beach and lake on the day. A colouring competition with three winners will be running on the day. Kitethrills hire shop will be offering 2 for one hire for participants all weekend on all kaya's and SUPs so everyone can get out and enjoy our beautiful waterways. You can listen to live music at the cafe for a few hours on the day.
All volunteers will be provided with a reusable hessian bag and gloves. Water will be available – make sure you bring a reusable water bottle.
Another way to raise awareness and be involved is to enter the Facebook and Instagram competition. The theme for this competition is raising awareness on plastic pollution and encouraging solutions for a healthier ocean. So take a picture and use #thrillsespressocafe and the person who receives the most likes will win a Big Mumma Roesti Revolution platter with their choice of a large Tim Adams specialty coffee, plus free all day hire of SUP or Kayak.
Help Clean Our Waterways
This will be a great chance to make a difference and be part of a very important day.
