The opening ceremony of the 2017 World Masters Games will be held At Auckland's iconic Eden Park on Friday 21 April 2017, the home of international rugby union, including the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and some of history's most memorable sporting events, moments and showdowns.
It has been reported that pre-eminent New Zealand Sports producer, Mike Mizrah, will be the creative visionary, behind World Masters Games 2017 opening ceremony, which promises to be an occasion never forgotten by athletes and their supporters.
Mike and his partner Marie Adams, have already masterminded spectacular events all over the world for such brands as Louis Vuitton, BMC, 100% Pure New Zealand, Sky Television and Spark, and they are also responsible for bringing the extraordinary World of Wearable Art and Awards Show to the public as well.
In accepting this challenge of the world's multi-sport events, they plan to celebrate New Zealand's unique culture and the spirit of World Masters Games. They will combine the use of cutting edge technology, live performance, a tribute to the 28 sports of the games and the celebratory athletes march. Personally I think athletes and their supporters are in for a treat.
