Foodbank Queensland , the State's largest hunger relief program, needs your help! You will have to be prepared to have a fantastic night of fun as a means of providing support for Foodbank Queensland's efforts to feed Queenslanders dealing with food insecurity.

Foodbank Queensland's annual is all set to 'rock your socks' again at the Foodbank Warehouse 179 Beverley Street Morningside on Saturday, 13 October, 2018 from 6.30pm until 10.00pm.

Tickets to this exciting event are $150 per person and are available by clicking the link here . With only about 100 tickets remaining you'll have to be quick as this is a very, very popular night out. Get in now so you won't miss out.

Radio personality Ian Skippen is back and, as usual, will guide you through the evening as you and your friends strike the perfect balance for eating, drinking and grooving the night away. To ensure you complete all three of these activities to the highest standard check out what holding a ticket to the event provides:

Eating: Brisbane's most iconic restaurants, Moda, Enoteca, and Harveys will be serving up treats to delight your pallet.

Drinking: Incredible boutique brews from Newstead Brewing Company will be chilled and on tap. Or perhaps fine wines by MOET Champagne are more to your taste, or if you have a literary bent, or even if you just like a celebrated cocktail, then you can find your way to the Hemingway styled bar presented by Mr & Mrs G's. Then again, you can try the lot, you never know what you might discover.

Grooving: The Havana Tropical Party Band is back and will be laying down those rhythms from Havana and Latin America. The music will set the evening's theme and mood and the band will have you watching and learning Salsa dancing.

Your night will be taken care of and, at the same time, you will be making somebody else's day. The funds raised by this evening will be used to address the enormous amount of food insecurity existing throughout Queensland. The face of hunger is not always who you may think it is as one in six Queenslanders experience food insecurity at some time. Although Foodbank Queensland helps feed over 180,000 people a month many thousands of people going hungry.

By taking this opportunity for a night of unrivalled festivity your actions will be providing food and support to less fortunate members of our community.

World Food Day commenced in 1945 to celebrate the founding of the United Nation's 'Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO)'; an organisation dedicated to ending food insecurity and the societal factors allowing hunger to continue around the world.

Foodbank Queensland, the State's largest hunger relief program, celebrates World Food Day annually as a means of increasing societal understanding of the help, food donations and funds needed to continue its work in relieving hunger.

Foodbank Queensland provides food relief to over 280 charities and more than 260 school breakfast programs. It also helps to feed 180,000 Queenslanders every month. Unfortunately, even these tremendous efforts fall a short, due to insufficient funding or food donations and more than 4,263 needy people miss out on help.

So what can you lose? Have a fantastic night of friends, food, drink, entertainment and fun as you help the less fortunate in our community. Knowing how much you have helped might even make that Sunday morning hangover a little more bearable.

Foodbank Queensland warehouse and office are where the party is at, 179 Beverley Street, Morningside. For more information on this event or how else you could help out this mighty cause you can contact the office through this link , phone 3395 8422 or email at [email protected]

Foodbank Queensland never relents in its 'food' and 'fund' raising as it struggles to do everything possible to support the charities supporting hungry and vulnerable Queenslanders.
