Are you able to help in case of an emergency? Photo credit: Red Cross website

September 8, 2018 is World First Aid Day. Are you equipped with the knowledge you need in case of an emergency?

World First Aid Day is a yearly event that began in 2000. Each year focuses on a different issue and this year the focus will be on first aid training for people on the scene of car accidents.

If you are ever in this situation and have attended an Australian Red Cross first aid course, you will be equipped to help reduce fatalities.

Most fatalities and severe injuries are preventable if first aid is given before the arrival of emergency services. You can help save more than 1000 Australian lives.

Learn all about how to book a first aid course on the Australian Red Cross website. Or you can also call 1300 367 438 to book.

Before your course purchase an Australian Red Cross Motorist or 4WD First Aid Kit to put in your car. First aid kits can be purchased here.

There is also an Australian Red Cross app you can download. All the training programs generate funds to support the ongoing humanitarian work of the organisation.
