Knowledge is power, and exactly what we need, to educate, and to saunter towards a new world; a new way of living in the future that's kinder to the environment. Celebrating World Environment Day, the Prospect Local Environment Group invites you all to a FREE talk by South Australian innovators on Alternative Housing Solutions. This is a subject that's gaining interest and momentum, and will make you rethink how to live, to meet our current climate. Building a home is no longer just about a house, but about homes with sustainable housing solutions.
Head to the Prospect RSL Hall, 1 Menzies Crescent, Prospect on Wednesday 5 June 2019 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm if you're interested in sustainable housing and how to make your house environmentally sustainable. You need to REGISTER to secure a spot. A gold coin donation on entry would be appreciated.
Speakers at the event include Jessica Allen and Géraldine Petit from SUHO, a nationally recognised provider of ecologically sustainable design (ESD) services and energy efficiency assessments for both commercial and residential buildings. The other speaker is David Baily, a town planner with a strong interest in people and communities, and employed at the City of Adelaide. He'll speak on how to make more inclusive suburbs and will draw on his experience to outline what it takes and its impact economically and socially Find out more details about the content covered by the speakers HERE.
