Held on Sat 5 June 2021 from 9am to 12pm AEST at Shorncliffe Boat Ramp, 45A, Sinbad St, Shorncliffe you can help clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. Join Council's environment staff from Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre as they clean up Dinah Island.
Take action to preserve the beauty of mother earth. You'll be escorted across to the island by small boats and all equipment and a complimentary cuppa will be supplied. All participants - man, woman and child must be booked in to participate in this event. If you cannot attend after booking please cancel your booking online to open up the waitlist for others. The minimum age is 13 years and children aged 13 to 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
For comfort and safety, wear a hat and sunglasses suitable for windy conditions. Wear fully enclosed shoes that can get wet and muddy, sun-smart, quick-dry clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent. Bring one litre of drinking water, a small energy snack, and a light raincoat. Pack a towel, change of dry warm clothes and footwear to leave in your vehicle. It is recommended that you wear layers on cold days.
