A chocolate-filled event! Chocolate Hour happens in every Mövenpick Hotel around the world. All 83 of them! Chocolate Hour is a perk of the stay. Yes, it's included.

It's where guests indulge in the chef's daily chocolate-themed creations. It might be profiteroles decked in chocolate, petit fours, churros, chocolate-dipped strawberries, marshmallows, or mini ice-cream cones amongst other delights.

If you think of Mövenpick and then ice cream you'd be right. The hotels serve the brand's line of food and beverages which means the scrumptious Mövenpick ice cream. Melbourne's Mövenpick is the Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer and Chocolate Hour is daily 3.30pm to 4:30pm in their lobby. It's a food experience that's great for families as kids love it as well.

Every July 7 there is a special edition of "Chocolate Hour" to mark the treasured day and applaud and encourage the consumption of chocolate. Some of us need no coaxing.

For those not staying you can still indulge. Walk in for the 'Death by Chocolate' Ice Cream Parfait - featuring a warm 70% dark chocolate fondant, layers of chocolate mousse and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. This limited-edition ice cream parfait is the epitome of winter indulgence. Available 1-31 July at the hotel's ground floor Mövenpick Cafe for $20 per parfait (serves 1-2). No bookings required.
