Release your inner craft with four workshops to choose from
Exciting news for crafty Melbourne folk; Colour Box Studio will host a new series of workshops to coincide with this years' Craft Cubed Festival.

Release your inner craft, and join in with one or more workshops this August and September. This year's workshop series includes:

Learn to Screen Print in a Day
When: Saturday 8 August, 11am -4pm
Where: Melbourne Polytechnic, Prahran

Learn to Screen Print in a Day


Learn all about screen printing basics, in a day course facilitated by Liz Doust of ambette. Turn your artwork into a stencil and print your awesome masterpiece onto fabric. If artwork is not your strong point, don't fret, even uncomplicated geometric shapes look fabulous when printed onto fabric. Give it a go!

An exciting double-craft whammy hosted by two Melbourne artists, will see former sculpture artist and florist Eavan Murphy of Ms MurphyFlowers teach you how to make your very own flower crown statement piece. Kirri-Mae Sampson of Kirri-MaDe will teach the second part of the class and show you how to make your very own necklaces accessory using upcycled pre-loved t-shirts and the art of Macramé.

The Aacute sister team will present their polymer clay jewellery making workshop within their new Yarraville studio.

Julie and Kelly Tran will teach you how to make your own geometric and marbled beads. In a three hour workshop, the Aacute designers will have you colour mixing, marbling, glazing and oven baking. You will create your very own beads with which to make your own necklace (or two) and a pair of earrings. You will also take home a goodie bag, an instruction sheet to take home and keep crafting. Light refreshments will be included.

Eavan Murphy of Ms. Murphy Flowers and Kirri-Mae of Kirri-MaDe return with another double workshop in which you will design and create your very own terrarium including plants and a little animal. You will also decorate your own concrete vessel, to pair up with your terrarium.

Next up, designer and maker Kirri-Mae of Kirri-MaDe label will show you how to weave your own macramé terrarium and pot hanger for the items you've just crafted.
