Workshop brothers is a cafe right along the emerging Glenhuntly strip. Open since May 2013 it has quickly become known in the area due to word-of-mouth and friend-to-friend recommendations. To be clear: this is a cafe worth a visit to. While the founding brothers Nolan and Brian take their coffee very seriously (more on this later) - their attitude its altogether laid back and warm - so for folks not yet connoisseurs but keen to learn a little more about coffee, Workshop Brothers is a good place to begin.

As concerns the coffee, there is an array on offer. Alongside the house blend which the writer enjoyed, there is a sizeable list of both blends and single origin on offer. The single origins from Latin America in particular (El Salvador and Guatamala) are especially worth the visit for. Beyond coffee, workshop brothers all has a all-day breakfast menu. While the usual candidates such as Eggs Benedict are of course well represented, it is notable the brothers also offer a unique twist on old classics; the Eggs Benedict for example eschewing the use of traditional ham and instead substituting shredded ox cheek in its place.

Alongside the staff, the cafe is inviting and open with a sizeable seating section beyond the entrance and a uses well the natural light that flows in from Glenhuntly Rd. For a strip perhaps not yet known for its coffee scene, Workshop Brothers makes a welcome addition to Glenhuntly and indeed are well worth a try if yet to visit.
