My two boys and I went to see 'Potted Potter' on the weekend at QPAC. We worked up a good appetite laughing at the performers, so were a bit disappointed at the long queues at the QPAC food outlets after the show.
Then I had the brainwave to take a quick walk across to Collectors Cafe at the Queensland Museum (at the end of the whale mall). The food at Collectors is pretty standard cafeteria fare, but the cafe is big and roomy and you can get food quickly (a priority when my eight-year-old starts having a sugar crash).
As a bonus, Collectors had a fun selection of artworks on display, which my boys really enjoyed. Created by artist Alan James, they combine bits of old street signs to create new, funny and interesting messages. If you'd like to see more of Alan's work, visit:
