Hi my name is Kelly Smith l am a licenced property agent, writer, Interior consultant, property styler, living in New Farm.
Published April 17th 2014
Every time l have driven past Woollongabba Antique Centre, l say" l must stop and look at that shop one day".

Well, finally the day arrived.

I was without a car and by foot l had to roam and came to be walking past this fine looking establishment. Alas, now was my chance, to experience what was in this rather large expansive centre.

Treasure Trove in the Gabba

I walked through the large double doors and was greeted with, the most incredible vintage retro furniture, complete with a straight out of the set "Austin Powers Bar"; you won't find this furniture in the Freedom and Ikea catalogue! In fact, interior designers would be so lucky to find some of the great design pieces l discovered here.

Austin Powers! YEAH BABY!

I am 'ohhhing and ahhhing' so much my daughter has abandoned me and fled to the vintage clothing, which includes Chanel, Prada, accessories & shoes; my eyes are feasting on jewellery, clothing and furniture.

All this excitement, in finding this treasure trove has made me famished.

And they have a cafe as well!

A cafe that serves amazing homemade scones, accompanied with real jam, whipped cream topped with blueberries and real loose leaf Earl Grey tea served from a vintage teapot and tea cups.

Perfect Homemade Scone

Who is the mastermind behind this collective collaboration!

And then l am introduced to Sarah Jane Walsh; she looks so great with her blonde beehive and chic knee high boots and sixties dress.

This Centre is pure passion and every detail oozes a love of film, Hollywood glamour, an era of iconic design and craftsmanship.

Style and Service

This incredible collection of pop-up shops and cafe has something for everyone, there is so much to see and experience, hand crafted, vintage and retro, jewellery, home wares, fashion, lingerie.

Note to family and friends, I want ALL my future presents including the furnishings for my house, from this unique and wonderful collective.

All they needed to make it complete was to serve the coke in one of those original vintage bottles.
