The inside of the shop is neat and tidy, with sandwiches and muffins displayed neatly in their display cases. In the corner I noted that they had a sign saying "Great Coffee or it's Free!" I was shocked to see this. I started to wonder how many refunds they had to give back, because surely not everyone is going to be happy with their coffee! I mean, that is an extremely BOLD statement to make don't you think?
Damien, one of the staff members, said that if you are unhappy with the coffee they will be happy to refund you the money. That is how sure they are in making a GREAT cup of coffee. So you can just imagine what my next step was. Of course, to purchase a cup to see for myself!
Up to now I have my little places where I will go for coffee. They don't always get it right, but they get it right on the most half. However, after taking the first sip of Woogi's coffee, I can assure you it is the best in town. Furthermore, there is a lot of relief knowing that if it was a poor cup of coffee that they would encourage you to let them know. Now that is a statement that states: We are the best espresso bar in Perth and we can guarantee it!
When you get such a great cup of coffee you almost expect to pay more!
Of course I also had to try their muffins. They looked so fresh, and so inviting. It was temptation placed in front of me which I could not resist. Once again, I could not fault them on their product. The muffin was fresh, soft, buttery, fruity (I ordered the blue berry), flavoursome with just a the right punch of sugar. This, with coffee is a match made in heaven.
I am really looking forward to going back to Woogi for a cup of coffee, and maybe something else. Their prices are very competitive, so I can foresee a great meal to be had while listening to the bells toll in the background.
