When driving through Woodford, the
Woodford Village Hotel immediately stands out as the traditional Queensland pub every town should have. However, the restaurant reveals a rather more intimate interior than the traditional bare rafters and wooden floors. The Village Garden Bar & Grill displays a lush indoor garden setting with an outdoor atmosphere.
The clear PVC blinds allow in the sun and keep out the cold, creating a comfortable experience even on a cool winter's day.
The Village Garden Bar & Grill menu does not contain a vast choice of dishes but is well-balanced and caters for all tastes. The separate pizza menu is also a great addition.
Two of us enjoyed the chunky beef pie with salad and chips, a special of the day at only $10.50. The beef was genuinely chunky yet deliciously tender. A superb meal for an incredible price.

The warm roasted pumpkin salad (V/GF) was enjoyable with a great variety of ingredients but lacked a bit of 'oomph' for our vegetarian connoisseur.

The garlic prawns in a rich and creamy white wine sauce (GF) were accompanied by rice and salad. This dish was beautifully presented and definitely also got the thumbs-up.

The complimentary basket with bread rolls and butter added a fancy touch to the pleasant restaurant-style dining in a casual pub setting. This restaurant is highly recommended for lunch or dinner. A good-sized playground is also available so the kids can have their escape from adult conversation.
