The Docklands Precinct comes alive this April for the school holidays. In addition to its
Cashback Program, the New Quay Promenade, New Quay Central Park and District Docklands will be transformed into a giant wonderland and playground for families and kids aged four to twelve years.
You and your family can look forward to a free event filled with installations, performances, craft activities, face painting and roving entertainment. Kids will be dazzled by the transformation of Docklands into a storybook world of wonder and imagination, filled with fairies, unicorns and pirates taking over the waterfront.
Highlights include:
1) Wonder Land at District Docklands - giant flowers, coral and cacti as well as the Queen of Hearts, a tea party spinning wheel and card houses. Friday 9 April to 11 April 2021 with live performers from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 April.
2) Pirate's Cove at New Quay Central Park - a pirate ship playground with desert island, treasure chest, water cannons, sound machines creating the sound of wind and thunder and pirate performers. Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 April.
3) The Unicorn Garden at New Quay Promenade - rainbow installation, fairy floss, a giant ribbon archway, unicorn trees, giant unicorn puppets, fairy performers and dance competitions. Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 April.
Bookings are not required but you will need to check-in using a QR code, with the sites having a maximum capacity of 1000 people at any given time.
