Out shopping in the Strathfield Plaza on any day, you can be distracted by the rich aroma wafting form the various food joints located all around it. So was the case with me and my husband. And we were drawn to a Korean restaurant called Won Jo.
Dim lights and the interior decor with a wood finish gave the restaurant a very warm and welcoming feel. Hungry as we were, we ordered duck as well as chicken barbecue. In Korean, a barbecue (which you get to cook yourself on the table) is called "tah galbi." The marinated duck and chicken slices came with an assortment of side dishes.
The restaurant is located right on the Boulevard, close to Strathfield station. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic korean dishes made of beef, pork, chicken, duck and seafood at pocket friendly prices. And for veggie-lovers they replace meat with mushrooms. The service is quick and efficient. So if you have a grumbling stomach on a shopping spree in Strathfield Plaza and do not want to stand in a line, Won Jo Korean BBQ is the right place to be.
