After touring London, Tokyo and San Francisco, 'WOMEN: New Portraits' by Annie Leibovitz is finally making its way to Singapore. It's the fourth stop out of ten stops of this travelling showcase commissioned by UBS.
Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg
This photo exhibition features women of outstanding achievement including artists, musicians, CEOs, politicians, writers and philanthropists such as Malala Yousafzai, Adele, Sheryl Sandberg, and Gloria Steinem. Some past work from the original series and other unpublished photographs will be shown too. It is a continuation of "Women", a project that the Vanity Fair and Vogue published in 1999.
Leibovitz first started as a photojournalist for Rolling Stone in 1970. In 1983 she joined Vanity Fair and then Vogue. She has photographed many famous personalities and pop culture icons such as John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Queen Elizabeth II, Michael Jackson, and Mick Jagger. Her works have been exhibited in established museums and art galleries around the world and she has won several awards and honours.
UBS is also presenting Family Weekend Photography Workshops, where families can learn the art of portrait photography and create a special family portrait. The workshop is free of charge. Please make an appointment here.
Don't miss this chance to view the work of this acclaimed photographer and a visit to a national monument which is rarely open to the public!
