This little piggy went to Wollombi markets. This little piggy wouldn't have dared to stay at home. This little piggy was tempted by some fresh fudge, and this little piggy sighed-with-glee allll the one and a bit hours' drive home'.

Wollombi markets
If going to the markets is as much about the kind country drive and captivating, oh-so-characterful ambience, as it is about filling up that car boot of yours, then this market is for you.

Fun and quirk, a Wollombi perk

A little bit of country
Commencing at 8am and concluding at 1pm, make sure you get here nice and early as we all know that the early bird gets the worm (and a good park).

Big and small: stalls galore

Green thumb?
Be extra mindful to dress attentively, I got caught out one long weekend and couldn't quite enjoy my wondrous wide open spaces until the sun made his appearance and gobbled up the (albeit enigmatic, 'stage present') fog, and, thankfully, thawed me out.

As with most markets, prepare beforehand and cash yourself up with the real stuff (not the plastic) as it might be a bit of a trudge trying to find a magical monetary hole in the wall (and you want to be ready to seal the deal when you find that 'jewel of the pile'). There is an ATM at Wollombi Tavern and some stalls have eftpos, but it's probably best to be on the safe side.

You just never know what you might find
After years of fondly remembered visits to this virtuous, valleyed vicinity with my dear Dad, I can't help but feel the pull and gravitate back here on occasion… and bask in that Wollombi's 'special something'.
You just never know when you might go home with a little 'something special'.

'Love-ly'

Pet friendly too
