Love waking up to go on an adventure. My motto is to collect memories not possessions.
A little slice of country life
There really is something special about fairs. Maybe it's all the delicious food that's in abundance. Or the opportunity to purchase artisan products and local wine. Or spotting an awesome bargain at the second hand stall. Or maybe it's that they bring communities and people together. And a country fair is even more special, don't you think?
Which leads us to the 6th annual Wollombi Country Fair. It will be held this year on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August in, you got it, Wollombi.
So firstly, don't be put off by thinking that Wollombi is too far to go; Wollombi is a beautiful and historic village located at the southern gateway to the Hunter Valley Wine Country. Only two hours from Sydney and an hour from Newcastle and the Central Coast, it's not really that far to travel. And for those of you in the Hunter Valley, well there really is no excuse.
The trip will be worth it as the fair has been given a swanky overhaul which incorporates the best of past fairs along with some great new attractions. There will be wine tastings, food and local produce stalls, arts and craft market stalls, street and musical entertainment, a mobile animal farm and a visit from Hunter Valley Zoo.
