You know the feeling when you order a takeaway meal, whatever style, and you get all excited (or is that just me) and then it doesn't live up to expectations, well wokinabox exceeded mine.



An Asian Fusion takeaway restaurant that prides itself on great taste, authentic Asian dishes and fresh ingredients. All dishes are made to order and over a real, fiery wok. It offers the best in Chinese, Thai and Japanese food.



It had been recommended to me a while back, but I only tried them about 4 weeks ago - since then I have had it a further 2 times. Yes, it's that good. What's also a good indication of the freshness and made to order, is that each time I have ordered, on weekends or midweek, the food is perfectly cooked, delicious and as I ordered. Also often I have chosen "mild spicy" in Asian places and then the dish has blown my head off, here though it had a little kick, just what mild should be, but not so much you lose flavour or need a fire extinguisher.





They don't have a huge extensive menu, just a great handful of dishes in various styles such as sides, rice, noodles, stir fry, bento, specials, soups and kids meals. They also do a create your own section, so you really can have something made to order, just the way you want. I also like that authentic boxes it comes on rather than the standard plastic containers.

What is awesome is, especially if you are on your own, or like me you don't like to share, they have two size options regular and large. Regular is enough as a small meal, or if you really want to indulge you can get two regulars for variety, or a large as a full meal for one or to share. Also you don't order rice or noodles separately as you would normally do, each dish comes with either, you choose when you order. Gluten free and vegetarian options available.



Prices are really reasonable, and portion sizes are generous, even the regular size dishes.

You can pop in, call them direct to order on 07 5538 4813, or you can order online #gold_coast_broadbeach ">here which is what I do as I find it is so simple to use. Basically you create an account, you order and pay online, set order for "now" or select a time for later, I have done that and it came on the dot. You can join and your 10th online order is free. Oh isn't technology wonderful.

It's open from 10am to 11pm everyday, even public holidays and Christmas day.



Really awesome, tasty, authentic food, made just the way you want. I loved how each dish came with fresh chunky vegetables so it didnt feel too naughty, plus I have to say the spring rolls are the best I have ever had, crunchy and delicious. Highly recommended.
