Great for tasty takeaway and quick eat-in
The Wok Noodle Bar is a great place to grab a quick delicious Asian meal on a busy weeknight. Since I was too tired to cook dinner for just the two of us, we decided to eat out.

Nestled along Willoughby Road in the suburb of Crows Nest, the shop is small and simple. It looks more like a takeaway place although there are a few tables and benches for eating-in.

We strolled by and stopped to check out the large menu board in the shop. I was already hungry so everything looked delicious to me.

Takeaway & Eat-in

After placing our order over the counter, we sat down at the dining area and patiently waiting for our food. There was quite a steady flow of customers who walked in and ordered takeaways.

Stir-fry Combination Rice Vermicelli

Our food arrived approximately ten minutes later. I was delighted to see colorful mix of vegetable, seafood and meat in my combination stir-fry rice vermicelli. A good, balanced-meal, eh? The portion was generous for the value of its price. It is flavourful with a tad of spiciness from bird's eye chilli, but I liked the kick. Everything was great except that the rice vermicelli could be slightly overcooked as it was a little too soft.

My partner tried the Thai green curry fish and vegetable dish served with steamed rice. The gravy had a wonderful flavour of herbs and spices. It's creamy and rich while the fish was average.

Eat well, Laugh hard, Live Long

I noticed the dishware used for serving dishes had something more than the Wok Noodle Bar's logo. It has a lovely message that put a smile on my face - eat well, laugh hard, live long!

Well, we certainly felt like we've eaten well after a simple yet satisfactory dinner. We went home and laughed hard at a good comedy show on TV (way to go to live long?)

I would definitely come back again and probably try out something new on their menu.
