A fast-paced sketch show that provides laughs the whole way through is what you get when you see Woah, Alyssa! 1 at Fringe World Festival 2018.
The show, a series of skits, both related and unrelated, is by Melbourne trio of comedic performers who go by the name of Woah, Alyssa!
The show consists of three actors, three small white cubes, no backdrop, setting or costume changes. The actors needed little more than lights down and back up again to take the audience to a new place.
The hour-long show moves between different settings quickly but sets each new scene well in a short space of time. The trio parodied everything from TV crime shows and the ridiculous euphemisms for sex in pop songs and even got audiences wondering about the origins of the term "booty call".
Woah, Alyssa! has three more shows at the State Library Theatrette at Fringe Central on February 15,16 and 17. There's plenty of Fringe fun happening in the surrounding Perth Cultural Centre, so it's easy to make a night of it. For more information check out the
