If you were sorely disappointed at not receiving your owl on your eleventh birthday, stop worrying. Universal Studios Orlando are giving everyone the opportunity to enter the world of Harry Potter. is an experience for Potter fans like no other. It opened in 2010 and since then has been one of the most popular attractions of the Universal Studios complex.

There are rides to enjoy, and worlds to explore, and of course plenty of Harry Potter merchandise to hep you relive it all again at home. Hogsmeade is where you'll get the most done. This is the wizarding village close to Hogwarts, that Harry and his friends first visit in the third Harry Potter book. Here you'll get to choose your wand, or perhaps have your wand choose you at Ollivander's Wand Shop.

You'll also get to fill bags full of tasty treats like chocolate frogs, sugar quills, cauldron cakes, and of course Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans in Honeydukes. Zonkos is where you'll find all your jokes and tricks, and Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods is full of fun finds. Deverish and Banges will stock you up with sneakoscopes, spectrespecs, and that roudy Monster Book of Monsters.

When you'e in Hogsmeade you'll also have to visit the Three Broomsticks to get a feed. There are plenty of hearty British meals like the wizarding families in Harry Potter were so used to eating. The most exciting part of the Three Broomsticks is heading down to the Hog's Head pub where you can enjoy pints of Butterbeer or pumpkin juice.

The stores available for exploring at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are not just filled with fun things to buy. They are designed to make you feel as if you really are walking the streets of Hogsmeade. There is great attention to detail with every aspect of the park. Unfortunately you don't get to appreciate it all when the park can get packed. If you can avoid peak times like school holidays, you might be able to have a better experience. Sometimes the stores are so full of wizarding hopefuls that you can't get a good look at everything.

Stores and shopping are not the only aspect of this world. There are also some fun rides to explore. Flight of the Hippogriff is a family roller coaster that kids and adults can all enjoy. The Dragon Challenge combines two high-speed roller coasters, which take the form of two dragons: A Chinese Fireball and a Hungarian Horntail. You'll weave and wind on one of these great beasts in a very fun ride. This is not for the feint of heart, so make sure you can stand a good roller coaster before climbing aboard.

Finally in Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey you will get to explore the magical Hogwarts Castle. Head through Dumbledore's office, and explore the Gryffindor common room. This is a magical experience that just can't be missed.

So if you've ever loved the magic and mystery that J. K. Rowling created in her Harry Potter series, make sure you get to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It is a fantastic experience for children and adults alike. Prices at the park vary, there are countless packages and seasonal prices, so check the website for details.
