Calling all Harry Potter fans
The wizarding event of the year is set to take place at the Metro Theatre in George Street, so gather all your Hogwarts cohorts for a magical party with themed drinks and prizes worth dusting off your wand for.
Grab your broom and cloak and step into a night of fun mingling with likewise witches, wizards and muggles. Best dressed wins a prize as may those that post on the event wall. A photo booth is available for your best poses, along with a friendly event photographer that will take and post pics on Facebook.
This live music and comedy venue will have the cauldron boiling with goblets of buttery brews, firey whisky and potent potions at the Butterybeer Bar. Flowing all night, it's not for the young kitty cats and toads. Those of 18 and over only will be allowed to enter the chamber.
The Forum and The Lair rooms together feature dance floors, lounges, retro video games and are home to all forms of music and live performances. Coldplay, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Neil Finn, ZZ Top and The Vines have all played at the Metro and you never know who may be there to entertain wizard fans, so get your tickets before capacity is reached.
First release entry tickets are from $28.35 with a second release at $40.10. Book your night of magic through Ticketek and fly into fantasy from 8pm. The theatre is across the road from the Event cinemas.
To commemorate the event, souvenir glasses and potion bottles can be pre-purchased for $10 each, up until 28 April or until sold out. They can then be picked up as you leave the party or you can pay postage and have them delivered.
So meet up with your coven and have a spell binding evening, partying into the wee hours.
