Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn & cauldron bubble
We went to The Witch's Cauldron because we saw an advert on the T.V. As this was a day out with my girls, I thought I would treat them to something magical, and The Witch's Cauldron seemed like the perfect idea!
I was expecting something like a witch's lair, lined with pumpkins, hay bales, a big cauldron over the fire place, and all things associated with the name of this restaurant. To my surprise, I found these perfectly laid tables with only the best silverware, and menus that set the tone to – "this is going to be expensive".
The staff were very friendly, and while we chose to sit outside, we were encouraged to have a look around. The inside of the restaurant drew upon the witch theme, from the stained glass windows to the witch flying up overhead. I found this restaurant particularly interesting as there were this enchanted passages leading to assortment of seating arrangements. It really offered the best of both worlds. For those who wanted a quiet table without being bumped or squished, you could choose a booth. For those who like to mingle, you could choose a more open seated option.
The Witch's Cauldron is open from 7:30 to late. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. According to the staff, they are very busy when there is a sporting event, as most supporters end up at the Witch's Cauldron to continue celebrating, or drowning their sorrows. And, by the sporting memorabilia, you can sense that the Witch's Cauldron is supported by more than just avid fans.
I had a brief opportunity to scan through the menu and while my first impression was "this is going to be expensive", I found the pricing to be very competitive. As for our drinks, they were all finished within record time, which only proves that the drinks were top class!
The Witch's Cauldron caters for parties or functions. They have a private room on the first floor where you can have a great experience and be treated like royalty. I think this would be an awesome place to have a birthday party; however I am not sure if it would fit in my budget. However I would recommend the Witch's Cauldron, especially if you are looking for a girl's day out!
