Wirragulla is a not-for-profit club and proud to be one of the oldest polo clubs (est 1923) still functioning and carrying out tournaments in Australia! The trophies at this event are enriched in Australian polo history and competitors come from all over Australia to play, hoping just to get the chance to win these prestigious cups and have their names engraved into the Wirragulla history. This event proudly supports Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service, and proceeds raised at this event are donated to give a little back for this invaluable service.
Fast and incredibly competitive country polo at its best, this annual event is the perfect mix of fun and fast country polo in a low-key and relaxed family environment. Reversing your cars right up on the side of the polo field and spreading your picnic mats out and homemade treats as you watch the action is the way to go. Tickets can be got at the gate for $10 adults, and children under 16 free. The Games start at 9am on both days of Sat & Sun 15-16 September 2018 at Wirragulla Polo Club, Cemetery Rd, Dungog. The finals will be played on Sunday afternoon.
There's an all-day BBQ, a coffee cart, food stalls and a licensed bar on the premises if you'd prefer to not bring a picnic to a fabulous day of polo. Spread the word as there'll be a lot happening as follows, and more.
