A hidden gem north of Adelaide
Recently while driving through the Flinders Ranges, we stopped by Wirrabara, a small idyllic country town approximately 235kms north of Adelaide. The journey took only two and a half hours through beautiful canola fields, which were in full bloom during springtime.

Wirrabara is home to a beautiful 28-metre silo art. With a population of only 200 people, the town hopes that this new attraction would draw visitors to help boost the economy of the district.

The main street in the town centre was really quiet with a country town atmosphere. There is a hotel/tavern, a library and a craft shop where you will find high standard hand crafted goods. There are also local produce for sale like jams, pickles, honey, etc. The craft shop also serves as a Tourist Information office.

If you are in the Flinders Ranges area, do drop by to visit the town of Wirrabara and help support the locals. For more information, visit the town's website.
