Lunch at Winya Winery, and Stay in your Van
It is not far from the northside of Brisbane to Winya Wines, which is a great venue for lunch with friends. It's just 45 kms from the Bruce Highway along the D'Aguilar Highway, just before you reach Kilcoy, turn right at Sandy Creek Road, and you will see the sign on the left.
The winery is open from Wednesday to Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm for wine tasting and sales. They also offer a barbeque meal consisting of "black angus rib fillet steak accompanied by stuffed potatoes topped with sour cream and garden salad". If you are bringing a group for lunch, do let the folk at Wynya know on 0408 151 824. Cheese platters are also offered.
Vineyard at Winya
Their wines are processed at Ocean View Winery, by their winemaker Thomas Honnef, producing 8 varieties of wine, plus 2 varieties of port.
