A winter wonderland and outdoor ice skating at Hillarys
Perth isn't exactly known for its icy cold winter weather, so Winterworld Australia is bringing the perfect ice skating conditions to us.
Grab whatever winter clothing you have buried in the depths of your wardrobe as Sorrento Quay is transformed into an outdoor ice skating arena from Saturday, 24th June to Sunday, 16th July.
The ice skating sessions start at 8:30am daily and will run into the evening, making this a perfect day for families, couples and friends alike.
The youngest skaters in the family can make use of custom made, double bladed ice skates and cute penguin skating aids designed to keep them upright on the ice.
Many Sorrento Quay businesses will have winter specials on offer, so you can make a morning, afternoon or night of your skate experience. Better still, the Amphitheatre is protected from the elements, meaning you won't get a drop of Perth's winter rain hit you while you skate.
The rink is wheelchair accessible and will run 'wheely friendly' sessions during the season. Ticket prices are $24 plus booking fees for people over 16, $15 plus booking fees for kids aged 5-15 years and $5 plus fees for children under 5. Family tickets are available for $62 and the Penguin Aids are $10 plus booking fees. You can book here.
If you just love all things winter, Winterworld Hillarys is the perfect experience for both young and old. It's an authentic hit of winter without leaving Perth.
Cost:Adults 16 and over $24 plus booking fees, children 5-15 years $15 plus booking fees, $5 plus fees for children under 5. Family tickets available for $62 plus fees, Penguin Aids are $10 plus booking fees.
