If you're into Retro Nostalgia, and love the mid North Coast, then the Wintersun Festival 2011 at beautiful Port Macquarie is right up your alley. Now in its 24th year, the festival attracts die-hard 50's and 60's rock and rollers, enthusiasts of hot rods and pre-1974 cars and generally those who are inspired by the halcyon years of the 40's, 50's & 60's.

FOR THE LADIES:
Wintersun has it all, including the Original Cake Bake Competition, where "there are no rules, and bribery antics are encouraged". (1st prize is an engraved cake server, a retro inspired apron and $100 cash).

If you're keen to re-create the style and look of the 50's, for a mere $15 you can perfect that beehive, apply your makeup the way grandma did, and learn how to get the 50's fashion look from today's stores. All presented courtesy of Candice DeVille , Australia's premiere vintage model, ambassador for glamour and stylist.

You can go one step further and revive the golden age of glamour and etiquette at the Lindy Charm School for Girls , where "thou shalt always remember to wear red lipstick". You'll learn how to practice your pout, adjust your girdle, and straighten your seams.

There's also a must-see vintage fashion parade which includes swimming costumes, day and night attire - you even get a chance to strut your own vintage stuff on the cat walk.

FOR THE GENTLEMEN:
Cars, cars, cars.

FOR EVERYONE:
There is entertainment galore at Wintersun. Australia's favourite enduring band the Delltones will perform. Johnny Devlin, Issi Dye and Lonnie Lee will rock your socks off. You may even want to go back the golden era of swing and take part in a dance competition.

And to top off the entertainment The Pretty Things Peepshow , based in New York City is a sexy mix of sideshow, burlesque and variety entertainment you're sure to love.
