If you're looking for some winter fun during the July school holidays, then head on down to Queencliff Harbour, on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Winter Wonderland will feature an ice-skating rink and toboggan run, with day and evening sessions being held over 17 days. This is a great chance for children and adults alike to enjoy the unique experience of ice skating by the seaside.
Ice skating
The ice skating rink will be located in the main car parking area, under a giant marquee.
Ice Skating sessions start at 10am and are held every hour, on the hour, with the last sessions scheduled for 6pm (Sunday - Thursday) or 8pm (Friday and Saturday). Sessions run for 45 minutes, but you'll need to get there 15 minutes early to get your skates fitted.
Skates are provided (including special skates for young children), and there will be a limited number of helmets available, however, you are welcome to bring your own.
Prices start from $10 from children aged 3-5, $16 for children aged 6-14, and $18 for those aged over 14. Family tickets are available too, and work out to be cheaper if you're a family of 4 with older children.

TobogganingA Toboggan run will also be available for those who are keen to experience the excitement of tobogganing.
Toboggan hire is $10 and includes 12 rides.

Tickets
Tickets can be pre-purchased
online or in-person at the
Harbour office (9am-5:30pm) or at
360Q restaurant (5:30pm-9pm) in Queenscliff.
It's expected that some sessions will sell out, so it's recommended that you get in early to avoid missing out.
Please note that there will be no door sales for the ice skating and tobogganing sessions at this event.
Facilities:
There are a number of facilities within the Queenscliff Harbour precinct, including:
Public toilets (including wheelchair access toilets)
There are also shops, including a supermarket in the town centre, which is just a short 10-15 minute walk from the harbour.

How to get there:
Queenscliff Harbour is located on the Bellarine Peninsula, about 90 minutes from Melbourne, and is accessible by car, public transport, and ferry.
The
Route 56 bus takes just over an hour from Geelong station to Queenscliff Harbour and operates 7 days a week.
Searoad Ferries operates a ferry service from Sorrento, on the Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff. The crossing time is 40 minutes, and it operates 7 days a week.
