Go ice skating at the beach! Huh? Really? Yep - really!

Something very different is about to hit Moseley Square in Glenelg. Something that's never been done before - Glenelg will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for 30 days.

A massive 150 square metre ice rink will be installed and will be open for fun from Saturday 28th June to Sunday 27th July 2014. And, it'll be undercover - so rain, hail or snow, the whole family will be able to enjoy this unique event.

Be sure to book early - some sessions are already sold out due to a maximum number of 100 skaters being allowed on the ice at any one time. You can book online here
It's important to note there is a online booking fee of $1 per ticket and a 2% credit card payment fee. Skate hire is included in the cost.
Tickets cannot be booked via the phone.

Open 10am to 8pm daily
1.5 hour skating sessions available at 10am, 12noon, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm

Moseley Square (near the Jetty) Glenelg

1.5 hour skating session including skate hire -
Adult $10
Child (2-15) $5
Family (2 adults and 2 children) $25

What to bring:
Winter clothing - socks, gloves and scarves and a change of clothes for the little ones. You may bring your own skates, but admission will be the same

Getting there:
Catch the tram - it stops right in Moseley Square.
If you drive, there is paid on-street and underground parking available

Beachouse Carpark (undercover) – Special $10 flat rate for 10 hours of parking

We booked and paid for a holiday session at the Winter Wonderland, including skating frames. They did not have enough skates or frames for the session. One of my girls had to skate with a larger skate size. They didn't even offer to reimburse the money we had paid for the skating frames. It was a very disappointing experience.
