Celebrate the beauty of glass at the Canberra Glassworks
The Winter Glass Market will be held at the Canberra Glassworks in Kingston, on Saturday 17th June between 12pm - 8pm. This year it will be celebrating 10 years of the Canberra Glassworks. The Winter Glass Market is an annual event which showcases the beauty of glass and light. Admire the latest works from resident artists at the market stalls and enjoy a wide range of free activities. On the day they will be also be bringing to life a forest creature found in Scandinavian folklore - The Huldra - in a massive outdoor glass engraving project by master engraver, Peter Nilsson.
Whilst there, also watch glass blowing, hear fairy tales in the Black Forest Fairy Grotto, make your own bead at the Viking Bead Furnace, enjoy heart winter food, have a stein of beer (and keep the stein!) and try a glass of their own Winter Gin.
