Farm animals, penguins - and ice skating
Get your family's winter woollies ready. During the second week of these July school holidays, July 9 to 15, Phillip Island Nature Parks have added a little icy fun to their attractions.
Churchill Ice-Land, a pop-up ice skating rink, will be open daily from 11am to 3pm in the peaceful surrounds of Churchill lsland Heritage Farm, just off Phillip Island.
It's an ideal rink for kids, and parents too, and if your littlest ones need a helping 'flipper', there'll be 'pushable penguins' to hold onto as they glide along the ice.
Skating will cost $5 per person with a standard Churchill Island entry ticket.
However, skating is FREE for holders of the 4 Park Pass. This pass gives you entry to Churchill Island, the Penguin Parade, Antarctic Reserve and Koala Journey… and for each kiddie who skates with the 4 Park Pass, there's the added bonus of a Mt Baw Baw child's lift pass.
So, a lot of opportunity for the 'coolest' outdoor fun these school holidays. Get your skates on.
