It's never been done before in Maleny on the Sunshine Coast! A totally unique 'Winter Blues' Drive-In Concert ! Come along for the party and support local musicians, singing the 'blues'!



These local musicians have not received any income for months and The Rotary Club of Maleny is extremely excited to be hosting this phenomenal event, whilst giving the local community of Maleny a big boost too. All profits will go to the Maleny Community Grants scheme, which provides support to many local organisations.

& #127928 ; So, how will this fabulous work?

It's a tad cold up in Maleny on these cold winter nights, so to ensure the musicians are warm and snug and are able to set up their bands, they will perform on the stage in the pavilion. This will then allow for a very limited number of people to be seated at tables indoors. Please note that at the time of writing, all tables and seating at the indoor venue had already sold out! But ... there is still plenty of space on the oval for vehicles.

Oops, looks like someone below missed the dress code memo that it's 'singing the blues' and not 'country and western'.

An incredible experience awaits drive-in lovers - a concert of live music, PLUS a massive screen with visuals. Guests will be able to tune into the live performances, via FM frequency, on their car radios. With the new lifting of restrictions in Queensland, drive-in concert fans are permitted to sit and/or dance outside their own cars, contributing to a real party atmosphere!

Kevin Borich Express - Kevin Borich certainly needs no introduction, having performed for many years, at many festivals and is regarded as a quintessential stalwart in the Australian and New Zealand music scene.



Vix and the Slick Chix - this energetic three-piece all-girl band with the BIG sound are well known in SE Queensland for their blues, funk, soul and rock music, having played at numerous festivals, with regular appearances at Rick's Garage Diner and the Maleny Hotel .



The Spirits Blues Band is a re-formation of the killer Blues outfit with three of the original veteran players from back in the late 1980's (remember: Woombye Pub Blues Club) plus some very hot younger blood! One of Australia's premier Blues Bands, The Spirits have continued to evolve with the times with every performance guaranteed 100% blues, every time!



Accidentally on Purpose - This Maleny High School ukulele band have performed at Rick's Garage Diner in Palmwoods as well as at the Blues Mountains Uke Festival in February 2020.



The Maleny Hotel will be providing the yummy hot food, which will be delivered to tables and vehicles, via a pre-ordering method. The licensed bar inside will only be for seated indoor guests. Guests are not permitted to buy alcohol inside to be taken outside.
