Newington a small suburb nestled between Sydney Olympic Park and Silverwater in the outer Inner western Suburbs of Sydney is hosting a celebration of culture, community and music. Winter Beats.
Saturday 22nd June at Pierre De Coubertin Park between 3-7pm the Newington Neighbourhood Association will host Winter Beats. Winter Beats is a music festival featuring a Beatles cover band, called the Beatels, the local Newington Public School Band, who are quite good and a bevy of K Pop performances to keep you bopping through the afternoon. Bunnings has jumped on board and will be running a face painting stall as well as arts and crafts for the kids. So while the parents dance the afternoon away the kids can play, play, play.
As part of the day of celebration all the local eateries will be having specials and polishing off the best silver wear for the day. There are over 15 eateries which to choose from. These include culinary delights such as Korean BBQ, Fish and Chips, Sushi, Pides, Kebabs and Italian fare. Cool off with a flavoured youghurt or indulge in a flavoured coffee.
This afternoon looks like it will offer some great food, quality entertainment and activities to keep the kids busy. Take in the picturesque views of ANZ stadium and the surrounding parkland at this local community celebration.
All are welcome.
