Wake to a symphony of birds, sleep in a bed with fresh linen and creature comforts, a short walk from our unique cellar door. Surrounded by more than 500-year-old red gums and central communal campfires to keep you warm with a glass of red in the cooler months. Pure Coonawarra heaven!
While staying at the winery, see the wine being made during vintage session (usually around February to April), and even join in if you want to do the vintage experience. Cook using fresh herbs and produce from the garden including fresh eggs. An exclusive hour of wine tasting is offered for all guests from 4 pm to 5 pm. There is also a myriad of food options available from sparkling breakfast in bed, chef-cooked brunch, high tea and gourmet produce platters
There will be 6 Glamping Bell tents (unpowered) and 6 campsites, 5 powered and 1 unpowered for people with their own camp gear. The bathroom facilities are great, with the amenities building having 7 showers, 6 toilets and a claw foot bath. This includes a disabled shower and toilet. They will supply lanterns for the Bell tents and have power points in the camp kitchen, bathrooms and cellar door for charging phones. The camp kitchen is located along with the produce garden, which will help you cook up a storm.
What really sets Bellwether apart from other campsites is the space, you are at least 100 meters apart from other campers. This is a boutique campground with a maximum of 35 visitors.
This campground is dog-friendly, but please keep them on a lead, pick up after them and ensure they don't bother the sheep, chickens, cows or other campers.
