Wine Show of Western Australia's international judge, Mr Lim is a wine writer, wine educator and Ambassador for Burgundy Wines, one of only five people in Singapore and only 160 people in the world who are recognised tutors of the Bordeaux Wine Council.

He has travelled the world judging wine shows around Australia and in South America, South Africa, Italy and Hong Kong.

Tasmanian winemaker, Ms Connew, who established her Stargazer winery in Hobart in 2013, is head of the judging panel for the first time this year.

Judging for the Wine Awards of Western Australia will have taken place at Mt Barker in the days leading up to the lunch from October 2 to 4.

The Wine Show of Western Australia had its beginnings as part of the Mt Barker and Districts Agricultural Show in 1978.

From just six classes in 1978, the show has grown to become a separate and distinguished event which annually determines the best of Western Australian wines with 43 classes and 21 trophies.
