Summer is making a rapid and most welcome return to Sydney this November, and there is no better time for an outdoor wine festival right in the middle of Sydney Harbour to celebrate. The tropical oasis known as is a 4 day wine festival situated on the secluded Clark Island. The Sydney Harbour festival will take place between Thursday November 10th and Sunday November 13th.


aims to provide a first class experience by offering a luxurious and relaxed getaway, allowing wine connoisseurs in Sydney to soak up some sun. Once on the island, guests will get to discover over 100 unique wines from home and abroad, in addition to delicious food huts, masterclasses, champagne & vermouth bars as well as treasure hunts.


Some of the masterclasses on offer at this year's will include Bubbles Off!, a workshop specialising in the latest and greatest champagne, as well as New-wave Wines, aimed at those who would like to get their head around those special wine varieties including Tempranillo, Gewürztraminer, Mencia and Montepulciano.


If you are up for a little more fun, the masterclass aptly named Silent Disco Drops will be the workshop for you. Here guests will get a set of headphones providing the most extravagant of tunes to accompany their specifically matched glass of grog. Undoubtedly the most popular masterclass will be Dessert Island, a workshop where some of the world's leading ports and fortified wines will be matched to delightful desserts and delicious sweets.


So how do you get to this self proclaimed paradise? That's easy. Special event ferries will depart the Man-O-War steps at the Sydney Opera House 20 - 30 minutes before each advertised session. However, it is advised that guests arrive at least 45 minutes prior to their desired session to ensure smooth sailing. As an added bonus guests will get to drink some wine on the way to their destination, just like you would on a yachting island holiday.

The session times will be as follows:

Thursday November 10th

11:30am - 3pm

Friday November 11th

10:30am - 2:30pm

4pm - 8pm

Saturday November 12th

10:30am - 2:30pm

4pm - 7:30pm

Sunday November 13th

10:30am - 2:30pm

4pm - 7:30pm


If culinary consumption is your focus, then also has you sorted with various food huts scattered across the event. Some notable mentions include Sydney favourite Chur Burgers and Oysters Unplugged. All food will be easily accessible as revelers stroll around the island with their favourite drop of vino.


VIP tickets will allow guests to spend 4 hours on which includes entry to the National Park. Transport is also included in the form of a return ferry transfer from the Sydney Opera House, along with a complimentary glass of Rotari Blanc de Blanc to accompany guests on their voyage to the island oasis. Tickets also include a tasting glass to use with the additional privilege of unlimited wine tastings. VIP guests also get a meal voucher, a bag as well as complimentary access to the masterclasses on offer all day. This is with the exception of the Dessert Island masterclass, which will unfortunately cost an additional $30.


General admission tickets include all the perks of VIP access, with the exception of being limited to 3.5 hours on the island, in addition to being only limited to 5 complimentary wine tastings. VIP tickets will require a $190 investment along with a $8.90 booking fee. General admission sessions will set you back $95 along with the accompanying $5.15 booking fee.


Relaxed seating areas and hammocks will also be available on the day to complement the stunning Sydney Harbour backdrop. The deluxe spaces have been specifically designed to maximise comfort and create a holiday atmosphere, allowing guests to take some time out whilst refreshing your soul and palate.

Much like other culinary events such as Taste of Sydney and March into Merivale , guests will be required to exchange money for festival currency.
